Gleichschalten funktioniert noch immer

Manchmal fragt man sich schon, was uns all die Jahre gelehrt haben. In meiner Heimatstadt wurde vor kurzem ein Mord begangen. Da es der Polizei an beweisen mangelt, wurde die Bevölkerung aufgerufen „Freiwillig“ ihre DNA Probe abzugeben. In zweifel ist halt einfach mal jeder angeklagt bis er das Gegenteil beweisst. Ich kannte diese Regel immer anders rum, aber das nennt man wohl Fortschritt.

Berufen zum Datenschutz habe ich natürlich dieses Promt abgelehnt, aber die defintion von „Freiwillig“ scheint wohl eher an die Farm der Tiere zu erinnern. Aufgrund der Nutzung meines Grundrechts habe ich erstmal Besuch von netten Herren bekommen (war nicht in Grün, aber trotzdem vom selben Verein). Auf die Utopische frage, was ich am XYZ getan hätte, kann ich natürlich nicht antworten (ich bin schon froh zu wissen, was ich gestern zum Mittagessen hatte) was die Kollegen nicht unbedingt erfreute. Auch auf das weitere drängen der Besucher habe ich weiterhin verweigert meine DNA zur persönlichen Entlastung und sie darauf verwiesen mir doch einen Gerichtsbeschluss zu unterbreiten falls sie unbedingt drauf bestehen würden. Die Argumentation das es ja wohl mein Recht ist, meine Daten für mich zu behalten hatte schlussendlich erstmal die Diskussion für den Abend beendet. Langfristig stelle ich mich jedoch auf einen Gerichtsbeschluss ein (was ich dann natürlich ausführlich hier Berichten werde) zur Abgabe meine DNA. Die nutzung des „guten Rechts“ ist manchmal doch nicht so gemeint. Universalschuldig sind alle die von ihrem Recht gebrauch machen.

Die Reaktion der Polizei ist für mich persönlich nicht verwunderlich, jedoch bin ich etwas erstaunt, dass doch wieder eine ganze Stadt innerhalb von kurzer Zeit dazu zu bewegen war auf ihr Persönlichkeitsrecht abzulegen. Das Medium der DNA Analyse ist ja noch ein relativ neues Kriminologisches Mittel, jedoch habe ich den Starken verdacht, dass unser „gutes Recht“ sich auf die Dauer zu unserem „Recht mit dringendem Tatverdacht“ entwickelt. Je mehr solcher Prüfungen stattfinden um so weicher wird die Hürde eine solches Medium zu nutzen. Wenn es bei Mord funktioniert, warum nicht auch bei Vergewaltigungen. Wenn es bei Vergewaltigungen geht, warum nicht auch bei der Überführung von Bankräubern / Feuerteufeln oder Tempo Sündern (auch wenn der Fall etwas abstrakt wird ). Meiner Meinung nach muss eine klare Abtrennung gezogen werden. Nicht jeder Zweck billigt alle Mittel (Terror Prävention wäre auch ein wunderbares Todschlagargument welches wird noch aus der Bush Regierung gut kennen). Laut offizieller aussage wurde in dem Gütersloher DNA Untersuchung bis auf wenige ausnahmen der Test von allen durchgeführt. Ein simples offizielles anschreiben reichte bei den meisten aus. Spätestens bei der Persönlichen Befragung brachen die letzten „Querolanten“ weg. Mir persönlich zeigt es nur wie wenig ausgeprägt das durchsetzungsvermögen der Bevölkerung ist, wenn es für einen offensichtlichen guten Zweck geht. Ich denke, dass der soziale Druck des Staates noch immer ungebrochen ist und wir Blind befolgen was uns aufgetragen wird. Haben wir durch unsere nationalistische Vergangenheit nicht gelehrt selbst zu entscheiden? Würden wir eine Stasi wieder zustimmen, nur weil wir einen Grund finden würden dieses gut zu heissen? Ist der Mensch überhaupt lernfähig?

SOS-Kinderdorf decline donation from gamers

i’ve just read on shortnews that SOS-Kinderdorf decline a donation from a gaming network called Gamersunity.
The reason from Thomas Laker that this site is supporting users by doing virtual violence against imaginary human beings. To sad that a organization of that size still tries to get popularity by holding other helper down. Only because gaming has been marked in the past as the ultimate evil SOS-Kinderdorf does the populism trick to get attention again. The really evil industry will be untouched cause they spend much more money. Can that be called as Corruption? It would be interesting if the denies a donation from Micheal Jackson (he was definitely the ultimate evil if we talk about child safty) but i don’t think so.
Anyway -> Don’t spend money for SOS-Kinderdorf anymore, and tell everybody they don’t want money from virtual violent people. Only if you force Childs to work or you do real violence to childs your a welcome donor for SOS-Kinderdorfer (or a potential „child shopper“ like maddona. need money anymore. If you want to make things better in the world -> investigate in businesses in that country and help the people to help them self.
Go there in Holidays, get Fairtraid products and just buy more products of that reagion. Spend money for Green Peace or any other organization which is not that marketing hypocritical.
I just can say -> get your money from Nike and all other companys which produce cheap products in chine which force childs to work for famine wages. As long as you don’t want to see who produce the problems you want to fight against you don’t deserve any support.

Eclipse Galileo (3.5) und SVN

If you want to activate your SVN (Subversion) to share projects from eclipse directly you can follow this simple steps.

Search for SVN in the normal galileo repository and add (Help -> Install new Software -> select the galileo update page from the dropdown):
Subversive SVN Team Provider

then you need another update page:

and search for this too packages

JavaHL 1.6.0 (on windows JavaHL 1.6 worked well for me and on Linux SVNkit worked flawless, but thats no sugesstion, cause i just tried differend connectors)


after the normal restart of eclipse you should now be able to use SVN again.

(But maybe you should think about switching to GIT, which is really awesome and easy to use -> espacialy for linux users how are familar with the consol)

Eclipse Galileo installation on debian and ubuntu

First of you need to install the java from sun (maybe it will run with gcj but to make it work flawless its always better to install the sun java version).

sudo aptitude install sun-java6-jdk


till there is no deb package we can install it in the home-dir like every other application.
If you never done that before you need to set up the requested directories by exectuing:
mkdir -p ~/bin/packages

and now you can download your installation files.
choose the most fitting preconfigured installation from the eclipse download center.
Place the file in the packages directory and go there by console.
tar xvzf *.tar.gz

should now extract your new eclipse version.
Caused by the simple name we should move eclipse in a more common directory name like eclipse / eclipse-3.5 or eclipse-galileo.

you can do that by
mv eclipse eclipse-galileo

this is a total optinal step and doesn’t effect the usability.

To have better access to your eclipse its good to link the executable.
this is done by:
ln -s ~/bin/packages/eclipse/eclipse ~/bin/eclipse

as alternative you can write a small shell script to add parameters.
#/usr/bin/bash
`~/bin/packages/eclipse3.5/eclipse -vmargs -Xms128M -Xmx512M -XX:PermSize=128M -XX:MaxPermSize=512M &> /dev/null` &

if you use the bash script you need to tell the system that its executable:
chmod +x ~/bin/eclipse

and your done.

after this you can use eclipse like a normal consol programm. Typing eclipse in the consol or the execute-tab (ALT+F2) will open your new eclipse. If you have Gnome-Do installed you can SUPER+SPACE to execute eclipse to. If you dont have GnomeDo installed -> get it (sudo aptitude install gnome-do). This is totally optional, but it think you will like it.

The ubuntu team is working on a package for galileo but this is not finished yet. so later it will available true the official source or:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/eclipse-team/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/eclipse-team/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main

but till now its ONLY WORKING WITH THE WAY DESCRIBED  ON TOP! NO DEB YET!

news from MS

Green IT was yesterday, Microsoft azure is incoming and tries to build up a global IT infrastructure for Cloud Computing. Seriously i do like Cloud Computing but i dont like the way MS tries to force the economy to use there .net plattform and how they use computers as disposal stuff (we know this „f*ck the enviorment“ position already from apple ). MS wants to replace the classical setup for Mainframes with Containers of computers which will be replaced if enough percentage of the container is damaged. Basically this is very efficacy and easy to maintain (cause there is no real maintained) but it doesnt care an anything. As far as my informations go, there will be no real employees for administrative work on the „calculation containers“.
Anyway, .net is a really good framework which i really love to see whenever it opens up, but i dont think there will be any professional support from MS to the Mono project. Without the excellent work from the Mono Project there would be no Linux port.

Cloud Computing is the next big step in Computer industry, but i don’t think that a so restricted base like azure will survive. Another fail such Windows Vista would reduce the Monopole base of Microsoft again. It doesnt do enough to get MS into serious problems, but its getting closer.

The other „new“ thing is microsoft surface, the native user interface. The basic idea of a multitouch display is always good, but its a usability nightmare. How wants to sort his pictures again by himself? Didn’t we put the pictures into photobooks to order them? Why the hell should we now want to see them digital in a unsorted order? I know that its a goodie which will amuse the people, but as long as its not usable, it will wont be a real alternative to the normal keyboard (sounds like a „the mouse has no chance to be a good input device“ sentence, but for „programming“ questions the mouse IS still no good solution (except in UML, but thats not the most efficient language ) ).
I do love the new possibilities from multi pointing devices, but i don’t think that a multi-pointing system have to be from MS. Its always playware and so there needs to be a small program be written for every special task, to make it useful. There is already a multipointing support for X11 and compiz which makes i interesting for such a pointing system.

We will see whats happening in the next years, but i just hope that opensource will be in a leading situation. Closed development will only slow the progress for better software.
Sadly i didnt get any new news about the new version of .net which would be very interesting. Java needs to invest more into the development to get such a good sidefeature like XAML. The Eclipse Organisation is building up a lot but its still hard to step against a framework with such a bug resource like MS has to offer. We hope Sun will find enough resource to take this challenge.

frustrating statistics

isn’t it frustrating that most statistics try to be a solution for a questions but can be totally wrong? There can be relation which are unseen yet or missinterpretated relations.
A funny example for the wrong context of a statitic is the following example:

if you wonder yourself why you can’t get openerp 5 up and running, and you server just gave you the message:

code 400, message Bad request syntax (' 390(lp1')

or

code 400, message Bad request syntax (' 340(lp1')


you should try to delete your .openerprc in your home directory ( rm ~/.openerprc )

It seems so run into problems whenever you want to update from openerp 4 to 5. Delete it and everthing will be okay

a quick note to „order“ your CakePHP Scaffolding add / edit Fields

If you wonder why your edit and add function look so crappy by default, add in your css file a

which just let the cake default view look a bit cleaner. This is no big thing, but i think everyone who uses cake will uses it. This is nothing special but its a common leak which most people forget caused of the small use of label (Using Label is extremly good for your code. It helps handicaped people to read your page and increase your usability (if you want to decorate the label for example) ).

And why a float object? Because „label“ is a inline html object. This means normal „width“ does not have any effect to it (until you let its float or change this by „display: block“).
